You may not have even known this place serves coffee.
Saturday, September 29 was National Coffee Day and you can bet your double espresso that I was celebrating. I had been waiting to truly indulge in those fall beverage flavors so on Saturday morning all I could think was, in the words of Kevin Hart, “It’s About. To go. Down.” I try to turn to a local coffee shop to get my fix, but Lord knows I’m known to hit up national chains.
In fact, there is one national coffee shop that likely brewed the most this weekend.
A poll conducted by Harris Insights & Analytics has found the 2018 Coffee Shop Brand of the Year. Off the top of your head, who do you think took home the award in this category? Possibly Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts (now just Dunkin)?
It’s actually Krispy Kreme.
If you’re like me, you’re thinking, “they serve coffee?” And by coffee, I mean more than just your standard pots of regular and decaf with cream and sugar on the counter. Turns out they have a beverage lineup that can rival those other big names. And don’t doubt the Harris Poll. They’ve been conducting the longest-running survey in America for 30 years now.
Oh, and Krispy Kreme offered free coffee on National Coffee Day.
