“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.” -Psalms 18:32-33
When I was a kid, I read a book called “Hinds’ Feet on High Places.” It’s a beautiful allegory of the Lord’s children seeking Him out. It follows the main character, Much-Afraid, in her quest to greater heights. There are trials and fears to overcome, but ultimately she makes it to the High Places. There she is transformed by her loving Shepherd as he plants the seed of love in her heart. She is even given a new name to better embody her transformation.
I feel like I am Much-Afraid in my quest to the High Places.
I have such a tremendous calling on my life and I’m anxious to seek out what else He has for me. I’m so blessed to be doing what I’m doing and although today was extremely busy, I had such a smile on my face. We got so much done today and, better yet, we’re excited about what we have in store for the summer.
Expect great things from Bob!
It’s going to be a lot of work, but I like to keep busy. Luckily, I have a boyfriend who feels the same. I felt completely accomplished today. Although I worked late, everything got done and I still got a run in.
In the book, Much-Afraid always wanted to dance, but she had a gimp leg. Spoiler alert: In the end, the Shepherd healed her leg and she was finally able to dance.
I may not have a gimp leg, but I’m most certainly ready to dance.
