“For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.” -Psalms 11:7
As I wrote yesterday, there was a major change that took place at work and the wrinkles have yet to be ironed out. Yesterday was a shock for me and today was filled with much anger. However, tomorrow will be business as usual.
Growing up I played softball and I was a pitcher. My dad always told me that his favorite time to watch me pitch was when I was down 3-0 in the count. This is when your true colors shine. This is when you choose to flee or to fight. Well, I’m down in the count, but I’m not letting this batter go. I’m standing on the rubber because I have been entrusted with a job. Frustration out of the way, it’s time to go to work.
One thing is for sure, the Lord prevails.
No matter how loud the boos get. No matter how many times I get stabbed in the back. No matter how often I am lied to. I have been called for a purpose and I will not quit until it is complete. Because this purpose is not about me. Never has been and never will be.
Like the Blues Brothers said, “We’re on a mission from God.” And when you are on a mission from God, it does. not. fail.
The Lord has prepared me for what lies ahead. So it’s time to dig my toe into the rubber and throw the fast ball.
